 There are probably two things about July 30th you didn't know. I learned that it was National Cheesecake Day when my first children's book, The Little Boy Who Wouldn't Eat Cheesecake, was published in 2020. More importantly, I later learned that July 30th was World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. It seemed more than a coincidence, like a call to spotlight this important issue and use a children's book to help. But how? Back in 2020, I also met another children's book author, Bonnie Clark at BonnieClarkBooks.com, who has two outstanding books, Catching Thoughts and Taste Your Words to help children with social and emotional learning. She started KidLit Creators Against Child Trafficking and highlights the work of Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R) to help rescue children and bring awareness.  Thanks to her initiative, I want to highlight the work of New Beginnings, a safehouse for children in Indonesia. Learn more about them and the amazing work they do at www.beginningsindonesia.com.
