Tea Gifts to Go

1/16/2018

7 Comments

This simple gift is a nice pick me up for someone going through Downton withdrawals or maybe they have a friend named Elsa, who needs calming, either way, this should help warm and soothe them.
Picture
When I discovered that most all beverage napkins fit snugly in a CD sleeve, I heard a sweet tea whistle go off in my head! Pick a quality tea brand, decorative matching napkins and simply insert them in a clear sleeve. You can choose a variety of teas and napkins as well, to offer more of a selection, if you like. It is fun to get creative with these. The sleeves can be ordered through PSI Media Supplies.

I've had lots of compliments on these over the years. They make for a nice, unexpected thank you and parting gifts and add color to any gift basket.

Valentine Tea Gifts

2/10/2017

5 Comments

Tea for one or two, maybe more? These Valentines are great for coworkers, neighbors, book club members and Downton fans going through withdrawal! They are easy to assemble, and little love or encouraging notes can be simply inserted as well.
Picture
LOVE finding great deals at garage sales! I would say finding fifty yards of white wire edged ribbon for 25 cents and a cute red basket for a dollar was an absolute thrill.

Found a great new use for CD/DVD clear plastic sleeves that can be ordered from PSI Media Supplies. They hold the beverage napkins just perfectly! Now the stage is almost set for serving out Twinings and Stash tea with decorative beverage napkins.
Picture
So all you need is . . .

* Basket
* Ribbon
* Beverage Napkins
* Favorite Tea
* Clear Plastic CD/DVD Sleeves
* Love Notes
* Tissue Paper
* Swiffer Duster (This is if you use burlap or have any other little fibers that might have a static attraction to the sleeves)

Simply slide beverage napkins in sleeves and place the individually wrapped tea of your choice in the corner. You can add little love messages on back or inside as you wish.
Have fun playing with the ribbon to get it just how you like it on the basket. Fill in bottom of basket with tissue paper to help Valentines position well.

Picture
That's it! Now you have your Valentines ready to go with love, in a hand basket!
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant
  or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;
  it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
  Love never ends...

1Corinthians 13:4-8 (ESV)

Tea Gift Jars

12/19/2016

2 Comments

Repurpose your favorite jars as gift containers and slip some surprises inside! This year I placed tea bags with retro family pics from the Biglelow brand along with Red Bird peppermints and a tea light wrapped in winter wonderland garland. You can slip a note inside with a gift card too!
Picture
Except for the wire, chalk, chalk paint, jars and tea, all my supplies came from the Dollar Tree. I'm almost sure I could find chalk there and possibly wire too.
Picture
To make it easier for recipient to turn on tea light, I decide to make a wire frame to hold the tea light with garland wrapped around the wire. This way the tea light can be lifted out of the jar, turned on and easily placed back inside.
Picture
I used about a foot of wire and garland for each tea light.
Picture
I painted the top part of my jar lids and used a hairdryer to speed the process along; two coats worked best. Once fully dried, you can take the side of a small piece of white chalk and rub gently on the surface to get that chalkboard look. Then using light pressure write a message on top. (Pressing down too much could scrap off the paint and yes, I learned that the hard way.)
Picture
You can also use ribbon and tags to dress them up even more. Remember, it's not the look, but the genuine thought that counts.
Picture
Mine had a Bigelow tea bag, stick of cinnamon, a Sugar In The Raw bag, Red Bird peppermint, verse, tea light and garland for my friends that I shared Bible study with this fall.
Picture
So here's to sitting still and taking time to get with Him.

Tea Tree With Vintage Postcards

4/19/2016

8 Comments

This tea tree arrangement with vintage postcards came about when my neighbor and dear friend, Julie, wanted to throw a bridal shower for a close friend of hers. She wanted a large centerpiece of branches, similar to one I have in my living room, to display the bride's color scheme, shades of violet and deep indigo, along with tea gifts for guests.
Picture
I used some beautiful vintage postcards from my Great Grandmother Sallie. She saved most all of her correspondence by mail, many postmarked from 1908 to 1912. The sentiments on the front of the cards were perfect for a bridal shower. Found napkins and teas to combine for decorative ornaments as well. I used thread to hang the postcards and a wire ornament hanger for the CD sleeves.
Picture
Used a glass carafe inside of a stainless floral pot to have more control in arranging the branches.
Picture
Played around with arrangement until it looked just right.  I later added some fresh branches with green buds to create a more springtime look and feel.
Picture
Placed tea gifts and postcards out to get an idea of how the design and colors will compliment each other.
Picture
Cut violet string to slip through the protective sleeves, accenting the vintage cards and used wire ornament hangers to carefully puncture through the CD sleeves in the top left hand corner, so the tea will hang diagonally.
Picture
Always fun seeing how it all comes together!

Christmas Tea Gifts

12/14/2015

These fun, decorative and tasty tea gifts are great for giving out to co-workers, clients, neighbors, family and friends. They pop in color, slip right in for stocking stuffers and add interest to any gift basket. Perfect for accompanying dessert and book presents, they are simply wonderful!
Picture
To get started, pick out your favorite teas for the season and start thinking of the colors you want to use in picking out your beverage napkins. Also, think about what containers or baskets would work best for your gifts. I love peppermint tea and found these great flavors from Bigelow. One of the best things about these gifts is that they are healthy and have healing properties. You can feel good about giving them to those you care about and love!
Picture
These gifts are so easy to assemble! Just decide on your favorite style of beverage napkins, like the ones I found pictured below found at the Dollar Tree and place an individually wrapped tea bag with each napkin in a clear plastic sleeve, which can be ordered online, at PSI Media Store. You may even want to include a small Christmas note or card. Mix and match designs and enjoy giving them away!
Picture
Pictured below are some cute receipts, made of brown tags and light bulbs.  We received them from Lake Lanier Magical Nights of Lights after we purchased our tickets. I love to recycle paper scraps and turn them into something new. I took these cute tags and glued blue paper just over the top, then wired the tag to my metal basket.

Always good to let people know that these gifts are for them and for the taking.
Picture
Enjoy and have a very Merry Christmas!

Business Cards Presented With Tea Samples

5/26/2015

19 Comments

Try this simple idea to get your business cards in the hands of future customers. One of my colleagues, who knew I was starting my own blog and business, strongly suggested that I place my business cards inside of the tea samples that I had been bringing into work. So when my new humble and bold cards came in, I decided to take her advice.
Picture
To get started, take a look at your business cards and pick out specific teas and napkins that would make for a nice presentation. Pleased with how my cards turned out, I wanted to find the right color scheme (something with grey, white and either tan or yellow) to showcase the humble & bold photo that I had taken out on our back deck.
Picture
I found the perfect napkin style at Hobby Lobby with tea samples of Oolong and Lemon & Ginger from Twinings.
Picture
I simply placed the napkins, tea samples and a business cards inside the clear CD sleeves that we ordered from PSI Media Supplies and then arranged them nicely in a basket to deliver them to my encouraging coworkers! As you can see pictured below, the tea sample goes in front of the napkin with the business card or cards placed in back.
Picture
So simple and easy, you will want to try this!

Spring Into Passover and Easter With Floral Tea Display

3/30/2015

Picture
Choose your favorite tea that comes in individually wrapped tea bags. Then, pick out decorative spring napkins from the Dollar Tree and simply insert them, with tea bags, in clear cd sleeves.
Picture
Pick a favorite basket and line it with matching tissue paper or cloth.
Picture
You can also use a card holder to display your colorful tea, with napkins, in a floral style arrangement and place it on a sturdy prop sitting in a tall flower planter. I have this holder sitting up a bit higher than in the first picture posted. Play around with it and have fun!
Picture
You can mix and match the tea gifts with other cute giveaways. These Bring Your Peeps gifts are sweet invites courtesy of Free Chapel. Also, the tea gifts are perfect for older children and adults. The hot tea melts the marshmallow in your mouth just right!
Picture
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy these small gift ideas.

Most of all, I hope you know how much you are loved by God, not just during this Holy week, but year round.

Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

John 3:16  "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." spoken by Jesus.
