When a child sacrifice is interrupted, the ramifications travel through time to 1938 Nazi- controlled Germany. Josef Mandelbaum, a young Jewish store owner, falls for Miryam Murray, a young, Catholic-raised American. As their forbidden relationship deepens, Kristallnacht strikes.
