It's amazing how you can transform the look of few items around your home by simply using Mod Podge and decorative paper. In fact, when I go to garage sales, I look for items that just need a little help. To get started, look around your own place and see if there is something that could use an extra boost. You can find all your supplies: Mod Podge, decorative paper, brushes, twine and a paper trimmer at Hobby Lobby. Below is a candle that I bought for a dollar at a yard sale. Since the pink did not go with my décor - I podged it, wrapped it and tied it with twine. That's how I roll. It's just that easy! Found some mirrors at another sale that were almost free! The trim around the mirror was okay, but now they stand out after spending half an hour and a couple of dollars. The Mod Podge works best when you paint a thin coat on the surface you wish to cover. You may also paint Mod Podge over the paper after it has dried to create more of a glazed look, but I did not for these two projects. So don't forget this simple way of upgrading a few pieces you already have. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
